This motor series range from 250 KW to 6,500 KW is designed on a modular principle, comprising the following structural components: a cast frame housing the stator core, two grey cast iron end shields and two grey cast iron bearing heads. These components are axially screwed and centered, eliminating the need for checking the air gap, even after disassembly. The accurate positioning of the end shields relative to the stator frame, even after dis-mantling, is ensured by radial guide elements. The stator core is mounted in the frame with a clamped fit before being wound.
